I initially became confused while testing dspam on our mail server using
corpus training with the mysql backend. But for the tests I described in my
last mail(s), I used a fresh compile/install of dspam 3.4.9 and 3.6.1 (and
several cvs versions later) using the db4 backend. Before running a training,
I always made sure to wipe the complete dspam data and log directories.
Meanwhile I tried the same tests on another system (my home notebook, but also
running Gentoo Linux) and got the same strange problems. Maybe I can get
access to other Linux machines later and try the same there. I wonder if it's
Gentoo related, but I'd be surprised if.

When I ran the tests, I didn't check the line endings, but now that you
mentioned it, I checked them and they're all unix line endings. Besides that,
dspam 3.4.9 runs fine.
