[dspam-users] default prefs not seeming to apply

I was under the assumption that every user received the default prefs set in
the dspam.conf.

dspam.conf says:

So, when I create a new virtual user and I'm using sql to store the prefs, I
add the unique UID and unique user.....look at their prefs with the webui
and they don't have the defaults.

If I run: dspam_admin aggregate preference user@domain.tld I get
nothing.

Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If I go to the admin webui, click on the user, change their preferences and
save it.....everything is fine and I'll get whatever prefs that were set
when I run the dspam_admin aggregate preference command.

help?
